Bringing distance closer 5 comments
Took a walk not long ago, to see the last bit of colours near to the bridge in my hometown.
There’s a waterreservoir there that has been there for years and I used to go beeing a little kid.
Loved swimming in it, even a bit more scared after they had told me how deep it was.
They had a brickfactory nearby and the sand that was used making those, came from the bottom of this “lake”.
A few years ago they started building houses round it but with the bad economy and recession and all, there are at this moment more plots laying empty then houses actually been build.
That’s on of the reasons it’s not much fun going down there anymore.A lot of wildlife has dissapeared and it is only a matter of waiting and seeing if they'[ll ever return…
Must admitt , the people who are currently moving into their houses do have an amazing view…That’s if they tend to look up as I did , and notice ,just in time, the osphrey didn’t let all that constructionwork ,chase him of…and neither should I đ
The quality isn’t what I would have liked it to be , but am practising with a Nikor 300 on a Nikon D3100 at the moment , and still trying to get the hang o manual focusing…So a bit of playing was required đ

Meet “June” 5 comments
A lot has happened the last few weeks in ” my backgarden “.
A lot of foals have been born , and most of them I noticed after a day or a few days , some died and seen them laying in the far distance not wanting to get too close as I know I would be sobbing away standing there…I know it’s nature , but if you , as me , are going out to see them on practicaly a daily base, you grow attached to these beautiful Konikhorses, so all the more I smiled today by seeing the latest adittion to the Konikclan, and named it ” June “

This one of the 27 Konik horses (wild horses) I try to visit almost daily during my dogwalk.
I am lucky enough to have a nature reserve across the street called Utrechtse Heuvelrug, which can be entered by opening this gate.
From there on you wil find yourself walking amongst wild horses, galoway cows, the river rhine with all it’s wildlife as beavers, egrets, kingfishers cormorants osphreys etc
Most of my sunsets are taken there aswell since it is right along the river Rhine, and I can see the change of light directly from my livingroom đ
Hopefully in the near future I can post some pictures of nr 28 29 or 30 since I saw some big big belly’s amongst them during my last walk đ
