After so many rainbows, I have been slightly dissapointed for not having any in the last 4 days…till tonight when I spotted a iridescent cloud!!!
Since it was a sunset I was after , I decieded to hang around a bit longer and no, I didn’t get dissapointed 🙂
Beautiful photographs 😀

Beautiful shots. My favorite is the third and presumably the last/latest one in the set. I like the simple elegance and small foreground object. I haven’t done a lot of sunrise/sunset photos but am preparing to do so. Would be interested in your settings/technique if you’re interested in sharing. Thanks.

Hi Nick , Thanks so much for the comment and like , I am just an amateur who likes to fidle around with my picts, a lot of times I just use the automatic settings on my camera and play with them in Picasa till i get out what I saw , ;-)..That would definitaly need to change soon tho ,as I can’t get my satisfaction and joy out of it no more, so less posts , more learning /shooting for me from now on 🙂

Prachtige foto’s met zowel actie als verstilling. Een oudere hangjongere waardig!

Ik zal niet te veel uitwijden over de actie behind the scenes, lol, net herstellende van een zware griep na deze shoot dus vandaar de verstilling ..hahaha

Gorgeous golden tones in #2 and #3! In the first shot you have captured a nice sun dog

For this comment I’m more then gratefull as it lead me to the wikepedia and found out what a sundog is..
I’ve been googling for ages to discover what it was I saw and now you’ve told me 🙂 Cheers!
As a reward I will post a new couple of pictures of that evening where you can see a double one on either side of the sun including half the halo around it (something I hadn’t seen before posting these 😉

You are welcome. By the way, there is a good web site (http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/parhelia.htm) explaining sun dogs and various other halos. Now you know what these are, you’ll need to look out for Glories and Brocken Spectres 😉
